Convenient Locations
Choose the Parkesburg Studio, Gap Studio, or our new Strasburg Studio. Homeschool classes available in Elverson & Strasburg. Need to miss a class? Optional make-up classes are easy to schedule.
Simple Tuition
Simple, inclusive tuition INCLUDES costumes for performances. Most dance schools charge $80-$120 per costume and require multiple costumes for each performance (Count on spending $200/performance for your four year old at other dance schools!)
$45 annual registration fee holds your space & covers insurance & administrative costs.
No Annual Commitment
Not sure if your child will love ballet? No worries. There is no annual commitment. And if your child doesn’t love her first two classes, we will refund your tuition!
Easy Online Registration
Register online to save a space in your preferred class. Classes do fill up so we recommend that you register early.

Dancers who begin early do have an initial advantage, but many of our older beginners have gone on to become beautiful ballerinas!
At Octorara Ballet, you can begin with Parent/Child classes for Preschoolers & Toddlers for dancers as young as 18 months!
Four year olds may dance in the Parent/Child Preschool Program or the Ballet 1 independent class (without a parent). If your child is independent and thrives apart from a parent, then Ballet 1 is your best option. If your child likes the reassurance of having an adult by her side, we recommend the Preschool Class.

Yes! Each class level has its own color leotard and skirt. First-time students receive a complimentary required leotard and skirt. Tights & shoes may be purchased from the studio or elsewhere.

Almost every child will LOVE their class, but i , after her first two classes, she is not happy, we will refund your full tuition, no questions asked.

Ballet helps every child build their coordination, flexibility and focus. Ballet is one of the BEST activities for children who are not naturally coordinated.

Young dancers dream of going on pointe. We have a special Pre-Pointe class for dancers in the Junior level (Age 10+) which prepares them for pointe. After mastering pre-pointe skills and turning 12 years old (by age 12 the bones in the child’s foot can safely support pointe work), dancers are ready to dance on pointe. Our pre-pointe teacher will let each child know when they are ready to go on pointe.

No. Performances are always optional. There is no extra fee for costumes. Almost all of our dancers count performances as one of the highlights of their year! We work with shy dancers to help them to be comfortable on stage.
