Class Description
This 30 minute class for Ages 18 months to Age 3 with an Adult will make your child shine! An imaginative class for boys & girls that builds coordination, musicality and pre-ballet skills. Lots of fun props & creative learning!

Class Description
This 30 minute class for Ages 3-4 with an Adult is the perfect introduction to ballet! Includes dancing in beautiful tutus at the end of every class (tutus provided!), learning pre-ballet skills, & dancing to beautiful ballet music.

Ballet + a bit of Gymnastics Tumbling all in one class! For parents who prefer an independent class for their child (no parents in class.)
Dancers in Ballet 1 perform in our Mini Performance in December and our Story Ballet Performance in June. So much joy & learning!

No, you do not need any dance experience - these simple movement activities are easy for adults.
Adults do need to be able to move from sitting on the floor to standing and to be able to move around the room with their child.
Toddlers learn by imitation, so we encourage parents to fully participate in class. Most importantly, you will be alongside your dancer to guide her.

All of our classes for one. two and three year olds are parent/child classes. Over many years of teaching young children, we have discovered that very young dancers thrive with a parent by their side. Ballet class creates a special bonding time for parents and kids to enjoy together that creates special memories.
Dancers may begin classes at 18 months old.

If your child is four years old and is comfortable separating from their parent, you may want to consider the Ballet 1 class for 4 & 5 year olds. This class meets weekly from September to early June. Ballet 1 dancers perform on stage, too! The monthly tuition for Ballet 1 is $89/month.
If in doubt, we recommend taking one parent/child class before joining Ballet 1. Dancers may enroll in Ballet 1 from September to November and from January to April.

Young dancers LOVE dressing up for class!
For school year classes, your dancer will receive a free pink dance dress. You will need to purchase ballet slippers at the studio or at your store of choice. Tights are optional.
For summer classes, there is no dress code. Wear a dance outfit or shorts and a top with ballet shoes or socks. (Grippy socks for Elverson & Strasburg classes. Regular socks for Parkesburg.)

Yes. Depending on the age and focus of the each child, you may want to ask a friend or family member to attend with you so that each child can have a “partner” because it is best for each child to have their own partner.

Yes, you are welcome to bring babies along. We recommend bringing a car seat for them to sit in (they love to watch!) or a sling/carrier so they can dance along with you while you move with your Toddler or Preschooler.
That being said, many parents prefer to not bring their babies so they can give undivided attention to their dancer.
